  1. The means of Xm and Xp were compared by one-way ANCOVA analysis to age and BMI used as covariates, followed by Tukey’s significant-difference test. Two-sided p values were calculated for age, BMI, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides and fasting glucose, but were found to be significantly different only for total cholesterol (p ≤ 0.001), and for LDL cholesterol (p ≤ 0.037) in the ≥ 20-year-group.
